The Chop is a fast, flat, time-based weekly handicap race that gives riders of all abilities a chance to win. With strong numbers, it's the week's premier chase race. “The Chop” is an Aussie cycling expression for a breakaway group that works together to stay ahead before battling it out in the final sprint. It’s a mix of teamwork, tactics and every rider for themselves when the finish line approaches. Riders start in separate grades, from D through to A, with staggered start times designed to bring everyone together for a thrilling finish. Each grade wears a distinctive AHDR/Zwift kit, making it easy to identify who’s chasing and who’s being caught. Held on Thursday evenings, no two races are ever the same. Course selection, rider numbers, tactics and the occasional sandbagger all influence the outcome. Part team time trial, part cat-and-mouse battle, The Chop is all about teamwork, strategy and timing your final attack. Will you survive The Chop and take the glory?
Round up your crew and get stuck into Monday night chase racing, Kiwi style! An established weekly fixture on the Zwift calendar, Kiwi Crew Riot Racing brings a regular crew together for a handicap chaser / chop-style battle for line honours. Racing uses Zwift Power Pacer Categories, with D starting first, followed by C, B and A, separated by customised time gaps. The challenge is simple: work together to reach the finish first. Can D stay away, or will the chasing categories reel them in before the line? Big watts alone won’t win this one. Share the work, keep your crew together and time your efforts. Burn your teammates on the first climb, and you might find yourself doing a very lonely time trial. The winning crew will need to race as a team. Bring your crew. Share the work. Join the riot.
Maple Madness is all about that February energy – that in-between time where winter still grips hard, but the first signs of the maple harvest are starting to stir. The taps are in, the races are harder. It’s raw, cold, and competitive, with riders getting ready before everyone else even realizes the season has started!
